Privacy Policy
The short version: your trip records live on your devices and sync through your own iCloud account. Troupe has no servers of its own, no account, no analytics, and no tracking. We do not see your trip data.
Who we are
Troupe: Plan & Split Trips is built and operated by Michael Frankland (Yuzool), an independent developer. Contact: support@yuzool.com.
What data the app handles — and where it stays
- Trip data. Trips, itineraries, expenses, balances, packing lists, participants, and notes are stored in the app's database on your device and synced via Apple CloudKit to your personal iCloud account — infrastructure run by Apple under your Apple ID, governed by Apple's privacy policy. We have no access to it.
- Documents and photos. Booking confirmations and tickets you add are stored the same way — on device, synced to your iCloud. The app can only access photos you explicitly pick.
- Group sharing. When you share a trip, Apple's CloudKit sharing sends it to the people you invite — and only them. You control read/write permissions and can stop sharing at any time. We are not a party to the share and never see who is in your group.
What we collect
Nothing. The app contains no analytics, no telemetry, no crash reporters, no advertising SDKs, and no tracking of any kind. We do not collect, sell, or share any personal data.
Purchases
The optional Troupe Pro monthly subscription and Pro Lifetime purchase are processed entirely by the App Store using StoreKit. Apple handles the payment and shares no payment details with us. If you cancel, your data stays on your devices and in iCloud untouched.
Terms of Use
Use of Troupe and its purchases is subject to Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement.
Support email
If you email us for support, we see your email address and whatever you include in the message. We use it only to reply, and we don't add you to any list.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect any data from anyone — including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top. Because the app collects nothing, changes are unlikely to be substantive.
